How to Join RMAGS
Our membership is open to all and to join just hit the button above and tell us a little about yourself i.e. are you a serving/former RM, do you have a link with the Corps or perhaps you just like golf!
The Royal Marines Association Golf Society (RMAGS) is a specialist sports branch of the Royal Marines Association - The Royal Marines Charity (RMA-TRMC). The RMAGS exists for its members and guests to enjoy golf. Our rules are minimal (see RMAGS Charter) and our approach is totally informal, it's all about playing golf with 'oppos' while discussing how good we used to be!
We meet around 10 times per year between March and November and usually have at least one 'overnighter' somewhere. Our home course is Tiverton and although we mainly play courses in Devon, we do 'spread our wings' occasionally and we're always open to new ideas. Our members are predominantly former Royal Marines, we also have 'non-RM' members and we welcome guests to our meetings. We are organised by a small committee and joining us is simple - just use the button below. As a charity we do not charge a subscription, however we do ask our members who can afford to do so, to make a small donation to assist us with our running costs.

Joining The Royal Marines Association (RMA) is free and helps The RMAGS
RMA membership is not required to join RMAGS and whether we choose to join or not is entirely our own decision. RMAGS encourage RMA membership because of the obviuos benefits membership brings and it also helps our society when seeking support as a sports branch of the RMA.
The RMA and The Roayal Marines Charity have been amalgamted
In the past few years there have been many positive changes around the RMA and it is now almalgamated with The Royal Marines Charity. As a result of these changes there is some understandable confusion around membership so here is the up-to-date (2020) situation
If you would like to join the RMA, or just check whether you are already a member, just hit the button below which takes you to the relevant RMA website page. Here, all will be explained including the types of membership available and how to check if you are already a member

DownloadThe Wyvern Trophy
The Wyvern Trophy is competed for each year by members of the RMAGS. To enter the competition entrants must be members of RMAGS and must have donated (previously paid a subscription) to the RMA. The trophy was presented to RMAGS in 2017 by George Martin to mark his retirement from over 52 years of military and civil service. He served 22 years with the Royal Marines before transferring to the Army. He was commissioned into the Army attaining the rank of Major before arriving at Wyvern Barracks in Exeter as a member of the senior management team. The Wyvern is the mythical beast of Wessex – another name for the South West Region. The Wyvern is also the Tac Patch of the 43rd Wessex Division, a TA unit of the South West that has a particularly famous reputation in Normandy. George served in the 43rd (Wessex) Brigade for over 20 years.
The West Country 100 (WC 100) is a select group of 100 business leaders in the South West of England, who come together and have a desire to enhance support for Royal Marines, past, present and future – who find themselves in need through injury, illness and hardship. Through the channel provided by RMA – The Royal Marines Charity, members of the WC 100 direct their good works, time, fundraising and awareness activity plus membership support to directly help members of the Royal Marines family who need our help today.
