Ladies and Gentlemen,
Once again we plan to hold the Commando Golf Day in aid of The Royal Marines Charity. The event will be held at the Exeter Golf and Country Club on Thursday 4th June 2020 and will be organised by Keith Bolden and his team from the West Country 100 and the Royal Marines.
The attached flyer has all the details and the booking form allows you to make your booking. Please come along and have a great day out on a fabulous course and support a worthy cause.
All proceeds from the day will go to The Royal Marines Charity, which supports serving and former Royal Marines and their families in time of need. Help us to help those who have served their country and us.
As well as supporting on the day, or if you can’t make it there yourself, please advertise this day to your friends, colleagues and family. There are also sponsorship opportunities. We are looking for hole sponsors and raffle prizes, so if you are not a golfer but could help in this way, please get in touch.
As always, my thanks to all,
Paul Denning OBE

The Battle of Port-en-Bessin also known as Operation Aubery took place from 7–8 June 1944, at a small fishing harbour west of Arromanches during the Normandy landings of World War II. The village was between Omaha Beach to the west in the U.S. V Corps sector, and Gold Beach to the east in the British XXX Corps sector. An objective during Operation Overlord, the fortified port was captured by No. 47 (Royal Marine) Commando of the 4th Special Service Brigade.
