black tie dinner friday 11 september
BLACK TIE DINNER 11 SEPTEMBER AT WOODBURY PARK
To coincide with the Corps Families Weekend we will play our annual match against the Corps and, as usual, we will also play an RMA GS event in parallel. On the evening of the event, we will hold a dinner to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Corps Golf. Guests at the dinner will be a mix of serving RM and RMA GS members. The final details of the dinner will follow (format etc) but at this stage the dinner will be held in a private function room at Woodbury Park.
Early confirmation of attendance at the dinner would be appreciated as it will greatly assist with planning. Accommodation will be available at WP and, subject to demand, we will enquire about the cost and update everyone accordingly. It is not essential for dinner guests to take part in the RMA GS events on the day although it is assumed that generally this will be the case. If you wish to attend the dinner please use the button below and note, unless otherwise stated, we will assume guests are also taking part in the event on the same day. As for the team for the Corps match, this will be selected by the captain - when s/he is nominated.

Costs
The cost is £150 for twin sharing or £TBC single room which includes both rounds/buggy/DBBL and The Corps Dinner is included in the price. Payment details will be published soon, and please note that confirming your attendance is also committing to pay.
If you have never played at Ashbury you should be aware that it is vast. It has 103 holes, is one of the UK’s largest golf resorts and the 9th largest in the world. Given the size of the place buggies are a must and our price includes buggy hire for two days. The rooms are clean and basic and the public rooms have been recently refurbished.
Corps Dinner
As has now become traditional for our society the evening will be a mix of the formal and informal. We will observe all the usual traditions of toasts, Beat Retreat, citation (s) and speeches while wearing our RMA GS golf shirts and serving ourselves from the 'main galley' hotplate.
